Santa Barbara, California: Lucidity

Lucidity is an ‘open-source transformational arts and music festival’ that takes place every year in Santa Barbara. The festival gets its name from the type of dreams you have that are so vivid that they feel real and encourages its attendees to bring the energy and feelings from said dream to Lucidity – there’s a big focus on people letting loose, being silly, wild and free. The event is an immersive experience involving music, art and dance, as well as a number of other surprises like flash mobs, exotic dancers, jugglers and yoga classes. There are seven themed areas at Lucidity, which also have their own campsite, for example, there’s Warrior’s Way which has classes and activities that focus around energy and nature awareness, Nomad’s Nook which offers midnight-to-midnight electronic music, Trickster’s Playground which has an adult jungle gym, and Lovers Nest which welcomes attendees to heart-centered music and wisdom, ritual of song, tea and elixirs’.
