As we approach the month of December the weather is getting colder, almost all the leaves have fallen off of the trees, there’s talk of snow and most people are getting wrapped up warm in their cozy winter wardrobes… but that’s only if you live in the Northern hemisphere and are getting ready for winter.
It’s a very different story if you live in the Southern hemisphere! People are getting ready for a summer filled with sun, sea and lots of warm weather.
So we thought we would showcase the contrasting summer and winter wardrobes from some of the most fashionable bloggers in the Northern and Southern hemispheres. And maybe you’ll find some new wardrobe inspiration for the upcoming seasons wherever you are in the world.
UK: Lucy Connelly – Florals and Corals
Lucy is a Glasgow based fashion blogger and is the absolute queen of street style photography. Living in Glasgow Lucy is no stranger in layering up and dressing for the cold (since the average temperature in Glasgow is a chilly 8°C) and we’re loving her most recent outfit snaps of her nailing the transitional autumn/winter wardrobe consisting of cozy knits, boots and leather trousers.
The Netherlands: Levi Nguyen – TLNIQUE
Currently based in Amsterdam, fashion blogger Levi has the minimalist-chic look down to an absolute Tee. She describes her style as Scandinavian street style meets casual chic and when you scroll through her Instagram you’ll soon see why. Levi’s winter wardrobe looks simple and effortless and no look is complete without a fabulous long coat and cozy scarf to keep the cold winter weather at bay.
Germany: Livia Auer – Livia-Auer
When it comes to fashion, less is more for German based fashion blogger Livia. Her style is feminine and classic and she loves oversized coats and blazers. Livia sure knows how to layer that winter wardrobe – we love the combination of her beautiful oversized camel coat over her grey two-piece plaid suit and we can only imagine how snug Livia must feel when she wears that lovely green faux fur jacket.
Sweden: Kenza Zouiten – Kenszas
Swedish fashion blogger Kenza is infamous in the blogging world, she started her blog when she was just 15 years old and today she is the biggest blogger in Scandinavia with half a million unique visitors each month. She’s the girl that millions of people go to for serious style inspiration and we’re sure her wardrobe is filled to the brim with some absolutely incredible pieces. For her winter wardrobe, Kenza keeps things simple, a great pair of leather trousers paired with a chunky knit or a (bright pink) faux fur coat – we love it all!
Southern Hemisphere Bloggers
New Zealand: Kendra Alexandra – Stolen Inspiration
Kendra is the lovely lady behind one of New Zealand’s most loved fashion blogs. When it comes to clothes, Kendra loves to mix high and low-end brands to create the perfect attainable style that keeps her readers coming back for more! Kendra’s summer wardrobe is a mix of cute, floaty patterned dresses and strappy tops, finished off with a classic pair of Adidas Stan Smiths, you can’t go wrong!
Australia: Talisa Sutton – Badlands
Badlands is a creative outlet by Australian fashion blogger Talisa Sutton where she shares her love for fashion, design, interiors and travel. As well shooting incredibly stylish outfits in her spare time Talisa works as a freelance Art Director, consultant and graphic designer and previously worked as a designer for Elle and Vogue Australia. Talisa’s style is simple and classic and by buying key wardrobe staples like a good blazer or crisp white shirt means that she style can be adapted to suit any occasion or season.
South Africa: Lee Fraser – Mr Lee Fraser
Lee Fraser is a menswear fashion blogger living in the beautiful city of Cape Town. He started his blog as a way to connect with his growing Instagram followers and a place to share his love for fashion. Lee’s not afraid to rock a bold print and we think his colorful suits are the perfect outfits for the summer season in Cape Town right now.
South Africa: Palesa Mahlaba – Simply Palesa’s Edit
From a young age Palesa has always had a love for fashion and after working her way to the top to become the Fashion Editor of two of South African’s biggest magazines REAL Magazine and True Love she decided to leave and share her personal style journey with the world instead. Her summer wardrobe is fun and full of different colors and prints and we absolutely love it!
