The Met Gala is the fashion industry’s biggest event of the year and it certainly lived up to its reputation last night.

This year’s theme is entitled ‘Manus x Machina: Fashion in the Age of Technology’ and some of the biggest names in fashion, music, film and the runway arrived wearing some pretty amazing outfits created by the world’s best fashion designers. There was lots of silver, lots of metallic and lots of embellishment across the outfit spectrum to coincide with the technology theme.

So of course we’ve picked out some of our favorite dressed attendees at the event and have decided that from today we’re going to start saving up to buy a ticket for next years event (if anyone has any ideas of how we can raise $25,000 for the ticket it would be greatly appreciated).

Girls Girls Girls

This Zac Posen gown worn by Clare Danes is a piece of fashion art. Clare looked like a real life Cinderella and the fact that it lights up just makes this dress all the more amazing.

Cindy Crawford is 50 years old, let’s just let that sink in for a moment… She looked absolutely flawless in this silver Balmain dress and geometric diamond earrings. Cindy please tell us your secret?!

We LOVE this laser cut Versace gown that Kendall Jenner wore, the laser cut design looks so intricate but it’s kept simple by just using the two colors, blue and white.

We’re obsessed with Kate Bosworth’s Dolce & Gabbana crystal embellished dress and matching headpiece. She looked like a beautiful bejeweled ballerina.

Stella Maxwell kept it simple in this rose gold beaded custom-made dress by Topshop and she looked absolutely flawless.

Alexa Chung strayed away from the dresses and kept it different by wearing a lovely silver sequined custom-made Thakoon tuxedo.

Lily Aldridge wore a beautiful golden Michael Kors Collection gown with Ana Khouri jewelry and we love how she’s gone for gold eyebrows to match her dress, a futuristic makeup look and a nod to the event’s technology theme.

Does Jourdan Dunn ever have an off day?! She wore a silver and mesh Balmain gown, with a matching grey tint in her hair.

Another lady who decided to go for a silver mirrored gown. Naomi Watts wore a strapless Burberry gown with silver embellished flowers on it and we cannot get enough of it.

Sports Illustrated model Hannah Davis looked unbelievable in this fern green embroidered Zuhair Murad gown with a metal grid belt and embellished drop earrings.

Calvin Klein Collection for The Green Carpet Challenge

Emma Watson, Lupita Nyong’o and Margot Robbie all wore gowns from the Calvin Klein Collection for The Green Carpet Challenge. The GCC is a platform that fuses glamour and ethics to raise the profile of sustainability, ethics and social welfare and helps to promote sustainable style into the spotlight at some of the world’s most high profile events.

Emma’s outfit was made from sustainable cotton, satin, and taffeta woven from recycled plastic yarn, and she plans to wear each part of her outfit again to future events she attends. She obviously looked amazing and the fact that it’s totally sustainable and environmentally friendly makes the outfit even better.

Lupita Nyong’o wore a stunning shimmering jade green sequined Calvin Klein Collection dress, with jewelry by Tiffany & Co. The Calvin Klein Collection design team spent hours and hours on the embroidery and understructure of the dress, and it is a true celebration of craftsmanship. Her hair is pretty whacky but it’s kind of got a futuristic vibe to it, which fits in well with the technology theme.

Margot Robbie looked like an absolute vision in white. Her dress is made from a silk fabric and is lined in organic silk, with the zippers made from recycled materials.

Men In Suits

Orlando Bloom switched up the classic black tux look with this Prada Bordeaux tux jacket. He also sticks to the technology theme by accessorizing it with a Tamagotchi, so fun!

Rami Malek added a pop of color to the red carpet in this royal blue Dior Homme tux.

Michael B. Jordan kept his black tux looking sharp by adding a gold trim to the lapels and trousers. We also love his studded shoes too.
