The first of the four fashion capitals to take to the stage, New York City was submerged with trendsetters and fashionistas strutting around in their stylish outfits. We’ve asked one of our favorite fashion bloggers, LAFOTKA to tell us all about her favorite trend from NYFW A/W 2018.

There were so many trends that I’m so excited about for AW18. Bum bag being of them and tea-length floral dresses is another. Tea-dresses are great for showing off amazing statement booties. One of my other favourite NYFW trends was a formal suit. I absolutely fell in love with looks of Badgley Mischka and Carolina Herrera. Both designers totally nailed the “business in the evening” looks with their tuxedo suits on models.
I was so glad to see the Red and Pink trend making an appearance in the Autumn / Winter collections. My favourite Pink and Red looks were from Tibi and Self Portrait who just made me want to dig out all my pink and red pieces and wear them together all at once.
Taking inspiration from the new season trends I’ve created a look that I’d actually wear every day. I just love the mix of pretty laces and baggy knits with a red bootie similar to mine. My cosy red knitted hoodie certainly adds that casual vibe whilst my pretty pleated pink skirt creates that touch of femininity and the belt bag pulls it all in together perfectly for a cosy, casual yet super trendy NYFW look.
One of the big four fashion capitals, London is renowned for hosting world class collections, celebrity fuelled parties and for the first time in royal history, hosted the Queen. We’ve asked one of our favorite fashion bloggers Lauren Black to give us all the details of the latest trends that have been flowing through the city.

LFW is a time brands get to show their latest collections that they have been pouring blood, sweat and tears into over the last year. Press, buyers and A list celebrities gather together to seek the latest trends for the coming season, meaning 180 the Strand and other hot locations were hectic! I’ve been a fashion blogger for just over a year now and I got to go to some on schedule shows, which may I add is a pinch me moment.
Trends include Corduroy, Paisley, Stripes, Tartan and Prints joined with Ice cream palettes and Multicolour rainbow dresses. One trend (my favourite) is Tartan. One of my favourite shows I attended was Paul Costelloe, It has been incredible for the past two seasons now and In his latest collection he provided us with tailored, structured, beautiful tartan in deep blues and greens. The trend then showed itself again in the presentation by Sadie Williams at the strand in deep purples, blues and burgundy.
House Of Holland and Burberry showed us bright tartan in a puffer coats and tailored trousers. The Burberry collection was more street than I’ve ever seen before, it had an old school vibe which I can’t help but think is maybe personal to Christopher Bailey and of course the traditional print. He’s made the trench a timeless piece and the rainbow Tartan a must have.
