Calling all bookworms! Open Book Festival at The Fugard Theatre is an annual literary festival, the first of which happened in 2011. Dates for Open Book 2019 are 4 – 8 September. The hubs will once again be the Fugard Theatre, The District 6 Museum Homecoming Centre and much-loved indie bookshop, The Book Lounge.


Gorgeous Geeks: A Nerdlesque Adventure: September 13-14

Created and presented by Vava Voom Entertainment, Nerdlesque is a subgenre of Burlesque that pays glorious tribute to cosplay, popular culture and all things considered “nerdy” in today’s’ society. Cult films, comic book heroes, food, anime, and social commentary acts are the name of the game.
