#FollowMeTo Moscow

/ Travel

They describe themselves as ‘ordinary’ travellers but the images captured by this Russian couple are anything but.

How did their journey to global recognition begin and where do these urban explorers call home?

When Russian photographer Murad Osmann accidentally captured an image of his girlfriend-turned-wife, Nataly, pulling him away from a tourist spot in Barcelona in 2011, neither of them could have anticipated the journey that picture would lead them on.

The image sparked the #FollowMeTo project, which sees Nataly leading her husband – and their 3.8m Instagram followers – around the world.

Their journey as professional travellers has taken them to some of the most exotic and iconic locations in the world but it is only in Moscow that they truly feel at home.

Moscow in 3 words…

Energetic. Colourful. Home

Moscow is special because…

We met each other here, we were married here and we now live here with our cat.

Every part of this city is full of our memories. Our past and our future are here.

When is the best time to travel to Moscow?

Spring and early summer is the absolute best time to visit our city because everything is so green and sunny. Moscow has a lot of beautiful parks and restaurants with nice terraces – it is just so vibrant at this time of year

What’s next for the #FollowMeTo project?

This is set to be a very big year for us. We are launching our new website www.followmetotravel.com, which will host our private blog, news written by our editorial team and contributions from other bloggers around the whole world. We have our own TV show in Russia, which we will broadcast in English on our YouTube channel.

The merchandise arm of the business – www.followmetoshop.com – will also be a focus as we plan to develop more interesting products for people who love travel as much as we do!

Finally, we are preparing a new bridal jewelry line and we will translate our second book in to English and other languages.
