Promising a MASSIVE party and incredible big name acts, Daisies 2018 is South Africa’s biggest outdoor festival – with multiple stages and a line-up including US melodic rapper 6lack; indie R’nB duo, Majid Jordan; Reeps One; Tom Grennan; Gus Dapperton; Mura Masa; GoldLink and many more. Held at the Cloof Wine Estate, near Darling, it’s one of Cape Town’s coolest events – attracting fans from all over the world. Hang out in the sunshine – with food trucks, a buzzing campsite, a new Ladies Camp, swimming dam – plus upbeat comedy, art and film.

Cape Town International Kite Festival: October 28 -29

Feel your spirits soar at Africa’s biggest kite festival, with its awesome pro-kiting displays, giant inflatables, stunt kites and kite fighting.  Bring your own favourite flyer, buy a beauty on arrival – or make-your-own-at a kite workshop. You’ll find creative food, drink, stalls and other cool extras.  And all proceeds go to help local resource-poor communities.

Inspired by Brussels’ cool urban landscape, the BSPF aims to connect people from all over the world and promote the city as a cultural/social hub. How? By creating a platform that looks at Brussels through the fresh eyes of established, and emerging, street photographers. BSPF is the first European festival dedicated to street photography – with competitions, workshops, exhibitions, talks and photo-walks.

Nuit Blanche: October 5 & 6

Nuit Blanche is a night (7 pm – 3 am) where people can come together, a night where unusual and contemporary creativity come together in a pleasant and festive atmosphere. The theme of the 2019 edition is ‘Back to nature’. Nuit Blanche intends to examine the impact of the Anthropocene period on Earth’s ecosystem, the need to take account of nature and the role of artists in creating an awareness of climate-related issues.

Glasgow Horror Fest is back for Halloween Season 2019 with a packed `day of scary film screenings in the heart of the city. Taking over Blackfriars appropriately spooky basement, Popcorn Horror in partnership with Neon Frights is proud to be bringing a program of stand out indie horror films from around the world.

GlasGLOW: October 25 – 31st

GlasGLOW is set to run over the 25th – 31st October 2019 and will once again transform the Botanic Gardens into a magical world of sound, light and fantasy created by the teams behind some of the UK’s biggest and best outdoor events.

Halloween Virtual Events: October 1 – 31 (closed Tuesdays)

Uncharted Realities offers three Halloween options, including a terrifying experience for adults, a zombie showdown, and a kid-friendly experience downtown.

Halloween Acrobats: October 24 – 26

Fright Night features goblins swinging on aerial silks, dancing black light skeletons, a ghost spinning on the trapeze, and fairy royalty twirling on aerial straps in Lincoln Hall at Portland State University.

Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular: Whole Month of October

Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular is back for a second year at the Minnesota Zoo! An enchanted forest, nestled in the heart of the Zoo, plays host to this strolling exhibit. The trail features over 5,000 illuminated pumpkins of all different sizes, shapes and faces creatively carved and displayed from ground to tree-top. A variety of musical vignettes and fog make the perfect back drop for a special date night or family-friendly, fall outing!

Zombie Pub Crawl: October 12

Certified by the Guinness Book of World Records as the “World’s Largest Gathering of Zombies,” the ZPC gathers thousands of undead souls into the streets, bars, and taprooms of Minneapolis for a night of pub crawling, dancing, world-class live entertainment, and all sorts of other fiendish fun.
